What it is
A water pump bearing is a double-support auto bearing with a simplified structure and no inner ring hold. The groove for the rolling element is made directly on the shaft, while the outer rings of its two bearings are combined and closed by rubber seals. Two design types are available: the ball-ball, with two rows of balls, and the ball-roller, with a single row of balls. Under the same loading conditions, the ball-roller's radial dimensions are usually lower than under heavier loading.
