What is SKF LGMT Grease?

The LGMT designation stands for Lubricant, Grease, Mineral oil, Thickener (lithium soap) — and the “3” refers to its NLGI Grade 3 consistency, which gives it a stiffer, higher-viscosity texture compared to LGMT 2. The grease is formulated for applications where a firmer grease is required to stay in place — particularly in vertically oriented bearings, outer ring rotating applications, and large-bore bearings where softer greases tend to migrate under load or gravity.
